President

Mr Stanley Hsu ​BAppSc (USyd), APAM, GC SpinalMT (Curtin),  AMusA.

As the Founding President for the Australian Healthcare Practitioner Education Association, Mr Stanley Hsu brings a wide variety of expertise skills to this group in addition to his clinical expertise in the discipline of Physiotherapy.  He is a clinician, entrepreneur, multi-business owner, multi-business awards winner, educator, community leader, philanthropist and a politician.  Mr Stanley Hsu is a Musculoskeletal and Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, Founder and Practice Principal at Hapi Healthcare; Founder and Managing Director for My Cube, providing entrepreneurial retail trading platform; Australasian Director of Taiwan Display Fixtures; President of Australian Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce Queensland; Guest Lecturer for Queensland University of Technology Business School and National Taipei University Nursing and Health Sciences; Clinical Supervisor for Sydney University Physiotherapy School; represented as the Australian Labor Party Candidate for the Ward of Runcorn at the 2016 Brisbane City Council Election, Queensland.

Dr Tony Wu  BDSs (UWA)

Dr Tony Wu is the Founder and Practice Principal leading the team at My Dentist at Cannon Hill, servicing the suburbs of Cannon Hill, Murarrie, Seven Hills, Carina Heights and Carina of Brisbane.  He has a special interest in cosmetic and crown and bridge dentistry.  Under his direction, the team at My Dentist is known for their passion in the  local community dental hygiene improvement and awareness programs.  As a passionate researcher, Dr Wu has shown leadership in bringing World-leading surgical techniques and technologies back to benefit his local community in Brisbane.  Unselfishly, he contributes his time to his profession by leading study groups for dentists who are seeking for specialisation. 
   
Prior to setting up his successful private practice, Dr Tony Wu had a prolific clinical posts in the states of Western Australia and New South Wales.  He practised as a senior clinician in the areas of endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics, paediatric dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics.  He was recognised for his unique problem solving approaches for complicated cases and his precision in surgical techniques.

Dr Tony Wu has three young children, and  is an avid soccer fan, a supporter of Liverpool Football Club.  He enjoys a game of tennis and a round of  golf and loves a good game of poker in his free time.  He is looking forward to serve as one of the Founding Members on the Board of AHPEA.

Honorary Advisor

Dr Jim Yen FANZCA, MBBS(Melb), BMedSc(Melb), GC HPEd (JCU), AMusA, LMusA, JP(Qual)

As one of the Founding Members of APHEA, Dr Jim Yen is a Staff Specialist in Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Management at Launceston General Hospital.  He is also an Associate Lecturer & Clinical Examiner for the School of Medicine, University of Queensland; an Adjunct Lecturer & Clinical Examiner for the College of Medicine and Dentistry, James Cook University; and also a panel member for medical student intake selection for the College of Medicine and Dentistry at James Cook University.  

Dr Yen's past varied clinical appointments include Provisional Fellow in Anaesthesia (Clinical Education) at the Townsville Hospital, Senior Anaesthetic Registrar at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Senior Anaesthetic Registrar in Cardiac and Thoracic Anaesthesia at Prince Charles Hospital.  He has also held posts as Anaesthetic Registrar at Rockhampton Hospital, Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals, as well as Intensive Care Registrar at Greenslopes Private Hospital.  He was a co-investigator for the Influenza Virus Vaccine Study at the Australian Clinical Research Organisation in Brisbane.


Dr Yen was admitted as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2016.  He first completed his primary medical training at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2005.  During his undergraduate studies, he additionally completed a Bachelor of Medical Science degree, which involved a research project conducted at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital of the Harvard Medical School in Boston USA, for which he was awarded First Class Honours by the University of Melbourne.  Dr Yen also holds a Graduate Certificate of Health Professional Education from James Cook University.
 
Dr Yen has served as a Justice of the Peace in Queensland since 2009.

Away from work, Dr Yen likes to spend time with his wife and his furry baby German Shepherd.  He also enjoys a variety of outdoor sports including tennis.  He plays piano and had received his two highest performing diplomas L. Mus. A. & A. Mus. A.  Dr Yen is also a pilot and loves flying planes and helicopters.
